A lot of Oracle consultant know LoadRunner from MercuryInteractive to do stress tests and performance benchmarks. HP Mercury is a market leader in automated software quality assurance since the acquisition of MercuryInteractive. But IBM Rational mixed with BSD Oracle Applications extension can be a solution. A datasheet can be downloaded here. To avoid to have surprise in Production don’t forget to know the existence of this sort of tools. You’ll eliminate risk, increase testing productivity, speed delivery, ensure the quality and scalability of your business systems. BSD’s solution is built on the Eclipse open source IDE and is fully integrated with IBM Rational Performance Tester for ultimate performance and flexibility.
I would like to get a link where LoaD Runner tool is compared with other tools (ie IBM Rational) when it comes to Oracle Load Performance
We don’t have a link to propose regarding comparison of tools. The only thing we can say is the for the moment the only tool used internally by Oracle for regression testing and “standard benchmark” on applications is Load runner.
See here the reference on “Oracle Applications Benchmark uses Hewlett-Packard’s LoadRunner“.
Another important thing : with Oracle UPK (User Productivity Kit) we are able now to generate automatically Loadrunner script which can be used for regression testing for example.
See a demo here . (In this topic, you will use the Oracle UPK Developer to publish a UPK topic to the TestDirector Document format. This format can then be exported to Mercury Quality Center (TestDirector) as a Manual Test Plan.)
