is an external Oracle Community built by the Oracle AppsLab Team (Rich, Jake, Paul and Anthony) in collaboration with ThoughtWorks. I like it for several reasons because firstly is a socialnetwork like facebook, and secondly it’s developped using Ruby and Rails framework but exactly it’s using Jruby on Rails on an Oracle Appsserver (Firebug it’s given me this version Oracle-Application-Server-10g/10.1.3.1.0 Oracle-HTTP-Server). Inside Oracle we are using daily an internal social network called Connect. Linked to Connect the Appslab team have launched a new initiative called OpenLab. About Oracle Mix an idea titled “Open Source Mix Code” was suggested but not released for the moment.
On Oracle Mix you can Share Ideas, Join a group, built a network, Get Answers and Share and Learn.
With my activity in the ORACLE/IBM Joint Solution Center I decided to created a group to share some informations regarding Oracle and IBM activities like events, technical info, workshop, etc..
The description of the group is :
“This Group is dedicated to discussing issues, sharing ideas and communicating about the Oracle Technology or Applications on IBM environement. Feel free to join it and to share with us all your experience.
The Oracle IBM Joint Solutions Center (JSC) is an IBM/Oracle funded center located in Montpellier. The center focused on business solutions based upon all Oracle technology and applications software running on IBM platforms (System x, System p or System z). The JSC is jointly staffed by IBM and Oracle. Its goal is to provide a single interface to the field forces (IBM, Oracle and BPs) and to customers with Oracle/IBM related concerns, questions or issues so as to provide them with all the necessary technical information they require for their projects.

But this group is a collaborative group. Everybody is able to contribute and to create something. Don’t hesitate to share a passion or interest regarding Oracle product on IBM hardware. Blogs are monologues Oracle Mix allows reader to become the writer or editor.
Don’t hesite to join the ORACLE/IBM Joint Solution Center Users group on https://mix.oracle.com/groups/10381 once connected and to invite others collegue to join it and to contribute.
