EBS 11i Database Platform Migration using Transportable Database is certified

Database migration across platforms of the same “endian” format (byte ordering) using the Transportable Database process is now certified with Oracle E-Business Suite Release 11i using 10gR2.

Suitable target platforms can be verified by querying the view V$DB_TRANSPORTABLE_PLATFORM using sqlplus (connected as the system dba) on the source platform:

Oracle Database 10gR2 Patch Set 10.2.0.4.0 is now certified with E-Business Suite Release 11i. Certify on Metalink is in the process of being updated with this information.  This announcement includes:

RAC conversion during upgrade to Database 11gR1 Version 11.1.0.6.0 with EBS 11i

Converting to RAC with Oracle Database 11g Release 1 (11.1.0.6.0) while upgrading from 9i/10g (standard non-RAC databases) is now certified with E-Business Suite Release 11i. Standard and RAC-to-RAC Database Upgrade to 11.1.0.6.0 has already been certified with EBS 11i in March’08. Certify is in the process of being updated with this information.
